Jay really liked his first trip to Chuck E. Cheese...better than mommy & daddy on a rainy Saturday during Spring Break! It was nutso in there! Thanks to the Bohannons for planning and the "money" to put in the games to "make them go."
James has been swamped at work lately - the boys were sooo happy to have him home on Saturday!! We went to IHOP for breakfast, at Jay's request! Mommy was the only one not in uniform : ) Later that afternoon, Caleb enjoyed reading outside with Daddy while Jay played in the backyard. (You know that you are truly "old" married people with kids when you've been up, showered, out to breakfast and are back home by 9:30AM on a Saturday!!!)
Caleb is really getting better at sitting and loves to do so all the time! (These "smiley" photos are just for Emilie, who has complained about the "pained" ones- caused by the cereal-being front page for so long.)
Caleb tried rice cereal for the first time tonight...he's not exactly excited about it. I think that I scooped up the same bite and put it back in about 5 times! Better luck next time....
As Jay says, we went to a "new" park today where he got to feed to ducks for the first time. We all had a great time in splendid weather! We'll be going back there soon, but you need to remember to take a lot of bread. One goose grabbed an entire hot dog bun from Jay...he said, "stinky goose, you need to tear it!"
Caleb now reclines in his new bath and is still loving it! We finally got out the "jumpy chair" and he caught on immediately. It's his new favorite pasttime!
We went for an afternoon walk with Ms. Sheila and Ansley on Friday. We have really missed our walks outside! Jay picked some of our first spring flowers from the yard to take inside.
The boys were having a ball this morning. Caleb enjoyed checking out his car while Jay "took" a "big, big bubble bath" in mommy & daddy's tub. He was really into pretending..."you see those big bubbles, mommy?...silly mommy got bubbles on her hand, you need to wash them off, mommy!"
After a little prompting, Jay was showing Caleb around his house. It's really funny--Jay is starting to display a quite protective side! If he comes inside, if we pick him up from church or school or if one of us goes somewhere without Caleb, Jay wants to know where Caleb is and who he's with. He also lets us know when Caleb spits up, falls over, wakes up, etc. He wants to pick out Caleb's clothes, bring him toys and hug on him all (well, most) of the time!
