On Saturday, we participated in the Komen Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer. We did the 1 mile family walk with our friends, John & Lisa Bowden and their girls. We walked in support of Lisa (in pink survivor shirt & hat) & Nova Pollard who are both going through battles with the disease. Over 15,000 people participated in the 5k & 1mile events.
Caleb had his first trim on Thursday...Daddy said his hair was too scraggly (is that a word?) The first pic is the before & the next 2 are after...he wanted no part of sitting alone in the chair while she cut, but did great in Mommy's lap.
We've been excited that Ansley was able to hunt eggs with us & play with us in the warm weather! The "Alabama girl in the dirt" pics are mostly to annoy her daddy, but they are really cute : )
The boys opened their Easter baskets before church and hunted eggs in the back yard in the afternoon. Everything was going smoothly until they discovered that most of them were filled with goodies! They had a ball!
Here we are before church (We had to nix the short-sleeved shirts b/c it was 20 degrees!) Jay put it best by saying that we are celebrating "because Jesus has risen, just as He said!!"
Here's a catch-up on Caleb because it's been so long since we posted. He's had an ear infection, loved getting Easter cards & packages in the mail (the cars were from Me-Maw), played in the dirt & been very serious about helping Mommy with the laundry. Sunday, he decided to call for a pizza after church because we didn't have lunch ready!
The old lawn mower finally but the dust, so we had to replace it so that Caleb could "help" daddy cut grass. Jay was supervising on the first trial run. One day & these boys had used an entire bottle of bubbles...we are "out" for a while!
