Jay is learning to read and write, while we are learning not to question him! This morning, we were outside playing with sidewalk chalk when he ran off. He came back over to us in a minute and said "I wrote hat." I said "OK." He's written words like this before, but we've prompted him and helped him sound them out as he goes. When I was going inside, I realized that he had really written "hat" all by himself!
